Oct 12 to Oct 16

Learning Targets Target Learning
It's been over a month since school started. Have your LTs made a difference? Just ask your students. If not, try making your statements kid friendly and student centered:

Today I will (do what? Bloom's Word) (with what? skill learned).

Example

  • Today I will create a list of rhyming words.

  • Today I will apply basic facts to double digit addition problems.

  • Today I will include three describing words in my writing.

Writing Prompts - scores due to Rebecca on Oct. 16
Many of the primary grades are done scoring - GREAT work! Intermediate grades will have our next LIC day to finish scoring. Data will be shared with the CSIP team for discussion and plans for next steps.

Newsletters
When you compose a newsletter, throw one in Susan and Rebecca's box. Or if you want go 'green' forward us a copy on email. We always love knowing what's going on in your classroom - and when we chat with parents it helps us support your good work! Thanks in advance.

Title 1
Thanks to your FABULOUS CSIP team - and our AMAZING Title 1 Team - we have a schedule! Every grade will be supported in reading during small group or intervention time. For now, grades 3-5 will receive math support. Nancy will be touching base with each of you as she applies the rules of Title Funding to the prioritized list of students who show they need help making progress in their own learning. A parent information night is also in the works...stay tuned! Questions? See Rebecca, Susan, or Nancy.
