Learning Targets Target Learning
It's been rewarding to hear your students share their thoughts on learning. Many of them are personalizing by saying "Today, I showed that I can..."
"...sketch skeletal arrays of multiplication problems."
"...name the characters of the story."
"...stick to one idea in my writing."
These are just some of the things kids say about their learning. Your direct teaching of each Learning Target is making a difference for sure!
United Way Update - School Goal: $2300

Thanks for returning your UW forms in a timely manner. We are so close to our school goal! Whatever you decide to do, thank you, and please return the form.
Report Cards - Trimester 1
The window is now open for entering grades. The format of the report card looks very different this year. The committee that made adjustments tried to make it more user friendly and reduce the number of "clicks" you need to use. There are some features that are not available not because the committee did not hear your needs but rather the program would not allow them. The district plans to continue to improve the report card with teacher input. If you are having trouble accessing the report card entry section see a colleague, Rebecca or Susan, or touch bases with ITC at x8600 or HelpDesk by email.
Accessing the Report Card
- Directions and a short video are available at https://documentation.puyallup.k12.wa.us/.
- Open the “Teacher Access Center” folder.
- Open the folder “Elementary.” In this folder are several documents and the video.
Reminders:
- No use of the "plus" first trimester…just the numeric score.
- Written comments are still required. The space for comments is much larger - It can hold 1,100 words each trimester. There is also no need to identify who is making the comment, the program will identify you on it's own. Thus when music or pe makes a comment, the parent knows which staff member wrote it. You can use Word to write your comments then cut and paste them in, but keep your font and formatting simple.
- Numeric (canned) comments are voluntary.
Printing and Review Process
- Complete your report cards in eSchoolPLUS.
- When satisfied, let Kellie know and she will format them into a pdf file.
Kellie will email the file to you for another review. - If you need to make any changes, you will have to go back into eSchoolPLUS. The pdf is a read only file. You will need to notify Kellie again so that she can work her "magic" and send you a new pdf file.
- Once you are satisfied with your report cards, please email the pdf file to either Rebecca or Susan. We will review and send them back to you for printing as quick as we can.
- The reports look best when printed on the laser printer. You can print your set, or Kellie can do it for you.
An Attitude of Gratitude - it's what I feel for the difference you are making in the lives of kids and each other. In the coming weeks as you complete report cards and continue with the responsibilities of teaching - be sure to take care of you, too. Your colleagues and Admin Team want to help you - so if you need anything, just say the word.
No, we can't complete your reports...sorry! :)
