Math: Number Corner - K-5 Begins
Grades K-5 should be starting the Number Corner component of our new math curriculum. Remember, the goal is to become familiar with NC and learn how to use this tool prior to the end of this school year. Have fun discovering the unique math connections your students make. If you need help with this, please let Rebecca know.

Overload Paras for Trimester 3 - new para schedules start Tuesday, April 5
  • See your email for updates impacting you
  • ELO paras are paid on timesheet, and every effort was made to maintain their current schedules
April 6 Staff Meeting - no morning meeting we'll combine with the LIC time to maximize our efforts
Rather than meet twice in one day, we'll use part of the afternoon LIC time to address the staff meeting agenda items.

Getting & Staying Out of AYP
MSP is just around the corner for ALL of us! But don't fret - keep doing the following:

  1. Post your Learning Targets - and talk about them all the time!
  2. Model the learning connections you want your students to make.
  3. Use the MSP released items to build confidence and show students how to answer the questions asked.

School In Improvement Efforts
You all are doing the fine work of preparing students for the MSP - and life! Thanks for your dedication to student learning - please let me know how I can help.
  1. Grades 3 - 6: The Literacy Assessments that Heather shared with you at our SIP-Advisory will be distributed the minute they arrive (hopefully Monday!). Please administer those Tuesday. Part of LIC time will be allocated for you to correct, input, and review the data.
  2. Grades 3-6:  Quizdom will be loaded on teacher computers Tuesday, April 5. Please have your computer at school.
  3. Rebecca will be meeting with the District SIP Team to review our work so far on Monday. An update will be shared with you on Wednesday - if there is anything new to report.
