The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you,
who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau,
sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth.

Staff Appreciation - check your box and stop by the staff lounge this week
There's much to appreciate you for...thanks for caring about and teaching Hunt students! Whether you lead a classroom, serve lunch, answer phones, run copies, or clean up after others - you're a teacher!
ELO Para Support - Extended through May 13
Para support for instructional and intervention services are extended through May 13. Please keep in mind: ELO paras can not be used for clerical or paperwork activities. If an ELO para is pulled for MSP testing, we pay out of a different budget and Jen or Rebecca needs to know.

The book fair will be closed in the morning on MSP testing days (Tuesday & Thursday) for all students. Stay tuned for more details.

Roving subs have been hired to cover K-2 classes for 2 hour sessions. During the team meetings, we will:
- Examine Fall/Winter/Spring DIBELS Benchmark and Progress Monitoring data
- Discuss intensive and strategic students
- Examine Reading Comprehension Assessment Data
- Plan for instruction and intervention May/June/September
Susan and I will be scheduling individual final evaluation conferences soon. Each staff member will be asked to identify one professional and one personal goal for the 2011/2012 school year. Be thinking about ideas you have (and surviving the new year can't be it! :) Ha!).
Just R.E.A.D. - floated out to parents - they LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!
Thanks to those of you who have shared ideas for rewarding kids. Our PTA is totally on board, and shared some ideas as well. Keep 'em coming. Your support and encouragement will be the key to participation and success!
