Jan 12 to Jan 16

Learning Targets Target Learning
While our students may be at any point on the spectrum of learning, the targets don't change. Help your students know what to learn by telling them what they are learning, why they are learning it, and how they will show they know it. Moving targets are hard to hit - keep the targets focused for your students.

Everyone Counts!
Susan and I would like to come to your classroom to teach a 30-minute Anti-Harassment lesson using the book 'One' in the next few weeks. We will complete an activity in class and create a schoolwide bulletin board with the information. Please schedule a time with Susan or Rebecca - we can do up to 5 lessons per week.

Math Pilot Testing Window Open
Hopefully you've received everything you need to give the Math Assessment this week. If not, contact your admin team or Grade Level Math Coach. We'll be scoring this assessment on Wednesday, Jan 21.

ELO's Beginning Monday
The kids are coming - in the morning and afternoon! If you have students who are scheduled to attend, please help them remember and encourage them do their best learning.

DIBELS/ORF
Winter Benchmarks are right around the corner. Please sign up for a testing time outside the staff lounge by Monday afternoon. The District Team is scheduled to test all our 1st through 6th grade students on:
Wed, Jan 14
Thurs, Jan 15
Fri, Jan 16 - Potluck luncheon: bring something delicious to share
Tues, Jan 27 (note date change due to district conflict).

We will also have a building team testing kids. The data will be available in paper form right away, but it will also be entered into the DIBELS Data Management System. (Want to know more about this online system? Click on the title - it's linked to the University of Oregon Website and then see Rebecca for your user name.)
