Winter Writing Prompts
GREAT work last week reading your grade level's student writing papers. If your team needs more time, please see Rebecca. It's likely that the primary grades were able to finish scoring during the LIC time, but if your team needs more time, we can time sheet it. The goal is to gather writing data to help us make instructional decisions.

Score sheets are due to Rebecca on February 20. This is a date change - thanks for the suggestion to give you more time.

Grandparent's Days - February 23, 24, & 25
As you probably know, one of our CSIP goals is to actively involve the community in our school. To this end, we have scheduled several days for Grandparents to join their loved ones for lunch. A notice went home with the Principal's Newsletter and a flier went home encouraging guests to RSVP. We are working on a plan to seat students and guests outside the classroom to maximize comfort and minimize crowded classrooms. More information to come.

March Gladness
Are you doing anything special with our students to give back to the community? If so, please see Susan so it can "Get Counted" for the good work happening across our district.

REACH/SEED - Honoring Cultures Diversity Celebration
If you have questions about using your grade level's materials be sure to ask a colleague well before the display date of March 2. See last week's posting for more details.

March Conferencing
Avoid surprises - plan on conferencing with every child's parent if there are progress concerns. Intermediate students who have SLPs, any student who is not making adequate progress, or students with at-risk behaviors should be scheduled for Spring Conferences. Please be proactive in preparing for these dates:

Report Cards
Maybe you noticed? The District Calendar was incorrect. Trimester 2 ends Friday, March 19, NOT March 12. Report cards will go home on March 19 - final copies will be printed on March 18. TAC will be open on February 27 and close on March 18.
