Learning Targets
Target Learning
A picture speaks a thousand words! It's not a GREAT picture, I know, but the Target is RIGHT ON! Imagine the students in this class saying
"Today I will use both analog and digital clocks to tell time to the minute."
Do your Learning Targets target the learning for your students?
This photo came from an example shared by Gaye Lantz - Director of Student Learning and Professional Development. She's looking for more to add to the file - someone may come around with a camera to photograph your LTs.
Honoring Cultures Campaign
Honoring Cultures Campaign
PSD's of Diversity Affairs Honoring Cultures Diversity Celebration is scheduled for April 16 - April 19. Our student's art/performances will be showcased on Saturday, April 18 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. We should feel proud of the pieces representing our school. One other way you can show support for the work your students did, is to come to the fair. Volunteers are still needed, so if you're planning to be there anyway, why not volunteer? If you're volunteering let Rebecca know so an entry ticket can be ordered for you. See you at the Fair - I'll likely have a 2-year old leading my way! :) If you have any questions see Judy Lewis, Donna Knudson, Rebecca or Susan.
Field Trips - New Policy and Paperwork
Field Trips - New Policy and Paperwork
The Board has revised the Field Trip guidelines. If you are planning a field trip you need to get organized very early to receive permission. Please contact Kellie ASAP to ensure we complete all the new forms and meet the time line. Field trips are only allowed when they are of an educational nature. You must be sure and complete that section of the form or it will be returned.
Another GREAT Week Is Ahead of Us
Another GREAT Week Is Ahead of Us
Just like the weeks behind us reflect, the weeks ahead of us are full of potential. Sometimes that potential is pokin' us in the eye, and sometimes we have to look for it. Your students, your colleagues, and most of all YOU deserve excellence - expect it, keep an eye out for it, and rejoice when you capture it.
