April 20 to April 24

Learning Targets Target Learning
I'll be coming around to photo graph your Learning Targets this week. Some of you have asked me to come back so you can rewrite them or make them neater...thanks for wanting to show your best every day! These photos will be shared with the Student Learning Department as well as our own staff...stay tuned!

Remember, by posting, sharing, and talking about each day's Learning Target, you are dramatically increasing the likelihood that your students will "Ready, Aim, Fire" right where you want them to - straight to the GLE and ultimately to LEARNING.

WASL - What A Week!
What an opportunity for students to show their smarts! While there may have been some anxiety by individual students, you did a great job de-escalating the worriers and accentuating the positives. We'll be done with scheduled testing on Wednesday, but make-ups are scheduled until May 1.

Field Trips
Apparently it's been past practice that PTA has funded the buses needed for grade level field trips. Due to no fault of anyone, no monies were granted in the upfront. But not to worry - unless you procrastinate. IF your team is planning to take a field trip before the end of this school year, you must let Rebecca know by May 1st. A proposal will be put before the PTA board with an amount of money needed to provide transportation. In addition, a field trip request form must be completed by the timelines indicated on the form. See Kellie for the new forms.

Upcoming DIBELS/ORF
The goal to test all students each trimester is almost complete! Rebecca will be working with our coordinator to determine the best schedule. More details to come.
