Learning Targets Target Learning
It might be tempting to venture from the routines of your classroom, but please be mindful of your changes. For most of our students, this is the "Happiest Time of the Year," but as the number of families we are helping shows, some of our students maybe facing some uncertainties. Remember, most kids need
- predictability - knowing what is coming up and that it won't change dramatically
- procedures - knowing how to do something, and
- consistency - knowing that everyone will be treated in a firm, but fair way
Again, the week before a long break is often tough for kids for a variety of reasons - and many of the reasons are out of our control. You are already good at helping all your students succeed - continue with high behavior expectations, targeted learning, and ask for help if you need it.
Every Monday MattersA story was shared this weekend of a family who received their "Helping Hands Family Basket." Because of the generosity you and our students showed, a very grateful mom left our school with tears of joy in her eyes. Her children will be dressed warmly, have toys to open on Christmas morning, and food to keep in the cupboard. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing the difference being made within our community is because of you all.
Thank You, Thank You, THANK YOU.
