Learning Targets Target Learning
Last week, Susan and I visited Glacier View classrooms. All the classrooms we entered had Learning Targets posted where students could see. Here's what was written for Vanessa Ramsey's science class:
I will explain what is meant by the term 'pure substance' and be able to classify substances by whether they are pure or a mixture.
Did you notice?
- Student centered = I will
- Bloom's Action Word = explain
- Specific GLE = the term 'pure substance'
- Bloom's Action Word = classify
- Specific GLE = substances by whether they are pure or mixture
