April 12 to April 16

Learning Targets Target Learning
Many Hunt teachers are GLAD trained - Project GLAD - Guided Language Acquisition Design (linked here). A powerful transition tool is used that promotes learning and gets kids thinking about their own thinking (aka metacognition). When cued, students transition to the next activity by responding to a word presented by the teacher. How powerful would it be if you introduced an important MSP vocabulary word and used it to teach - even during the hundreds of transitions your students make every day. Give it a try and see what happens...feel free to share your observations by emailing your colleagues. Need more details? Ask a GLAD teacher - Bailey, Guimond, Cushman, Niehaus, Britton, Perrin, or Steele. Interested in learning more? Let Rebecca know...

Spring DIBELS - Can you believe it's that time again?
The District DIBELS team will again test ALL our students the week of April 19. A schedule will be coming out soon - we have some unique 'work arounds' this go around, so your patience and understanding is appreciated in advance. Stay tuned!

Every Monday Matters - and so do Y-O-U!
Hunt staff is so amazing! You go above and beyond what's expected despite the obstacles - and you do it cheerfully. Spring always presents unique obstacles - Spring Fever, staffing projections, RIFs, grade level assignments, and especially this year - cut$, cut$, cut$. Please know that your admin team is advocating for what we believe is best for our students and staff. We'll face whatever reality is presented, and when we can share what we know, we will - PROMISE! In the meantime, have a GREAT week!
