July 1 to August 1

Happy Summer! Whoo-hoo!

We'll be kickin' off and hittin' the gate runnin' at the end of August! And I'm looking forward to it!

With AYP status is still unknown, I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the 'unthinkable'! Here's what's swimmin' around in my head - especially with regard to reading and literacy confidence:

1. How are we as a staff going to move students from Intensive to Strategic, and from Strategic to Core instruction?
2. Is working in isolation working for our students?
3. How can your team capture the power of people to teach so that ALL kids learn?
4. How can SpEd, Title, and Gen Ed work together to close the gaps?
5. Who are the best people to provide the interventions needed for students? Y-O-U, of course!

We have the very best staff here at Hunt! No question about that! And, no matter how the data reveals itself for AYP - we will work together to meet the learning needs of all our students! It's how we do things here!
