Back to School: Parent Power Nights

Sept 27: Grades K-3
Oct 4: Grades 4-6 

• 6:00 - 6:30 State of the School in the Gym - teachers meet in the gym to get introduced
• 6:30 - 7:30 Classroom Presentation and Discussions

**It is expected that your team present on the night designated. If you are NOT presenting on the designated day, it it your responsibility to communicate this to the parents/guardians of your class.  An email and school messenger will go out to families on Monday with the general information.**

PTA Membership & Events

• Membership Drive - last year 100% of our staff joined PTA. Let's do it again! Membership dues this year are $10 for staff. Watch your box for a membership envelope.
• VIP Fundraiser Cards - more details to come on this Fall Fundraiser. This card is similar to the Entertainment Books, however, the savings can be used over and over again throughout the country! Cards are $20 and $10 of every card sold goes back to PTA to support students, teachers, and the community. Check out this link for more information: The VIP Card
• Picture Perfect Hair Cut - to prepare for Individual Picture Day, our PTA is sponsoring a hair cut event for families on Oct 12 from 4-7pm in the gym. If you know a hair stylist who would be interested in donating their time, please email Rebecca or Mindy Gailey (PTA President). Donations received from this event will go back to PTA to support kids and families at Hunt.

Staffing Updates

• Welcome Stacy Neuman!  Stacy opened the school year in room 10 with a great group of second graders - and she just accepted the position for the 2011-2012 school year.  We're so glad you're a Highlander, Stacy!
• Para Overload Hours are official now.  Semester One schedules are under development.  Please continue the temporary schedules as is until further notice.
