Learning Targets Target Learning
Do your students know where to look in the classroom if they are asked "What are you learning today?" Help them make the connections to learning by pointing out the targets every day. Even more importantly, help them see that what they are learning is intentional and meaningful.



Data Means Goals
We are rich with data at Hunt - at least in the area of Literacy. At our Supplemental and LID days in August and September we began the work of developing grade level goals. We'll be revisiting that work in the coming weeks through grade level teaming and staff meetings. Be considering the kinds of SMART goals that will help your students reach their highest potential. As a reminder, SMART goals are:

M-Measurable

A-Attainable

R-Realistic

T-Timely



Advisory - What An Amazing Event!
Our first Advisory session was enlightning! It is inspiring how the collection of data is helping you meet the needs of your students. Thank you to the first team of teachers for arriving on time and prepared with work samples and relevant data. Our next Advisory is this Thursday.



Emergency Bus Drills
Kellie is preparing a schedule for the mandatory bus drills on Tuesday. Please refer to the schedule and process we'll use this year.



Conferences - Wednesdays in November (and then some)
Have you invited the parents to your conferences yet? Be sure to send a paper invitation and follow up with a phone call if necessary. If you want Rebecca or Susan (or any other staff member) to attend a parent/teacher conference, please let them know right away. The calendar fills up fast.



ELO Update
Our proposals are due to the business office this week. The CSIP team will be considering how best to spend our time, talents, and money to support the needs of our students.



Stipends
CSIP will be considering the stipends from last year and comparing them to the needs of this year. Be sure to touch bases with your CSIP rep if you have an idea for a stipend activity.



Health Screening
Please check the schedule Charlene placed in the of staff lounge. Health screenings are scheduled for Oct 24.
