As part of PSD's committment to the REACH Center and to help us "continue to build the cultural competence of all staff and students (Equity and Equal Opportunity Goal 2.5), all PSD staff are asked to complete an online survey. Gerald Denman sent an email regarding this opportunity to provide feedback. Please complete the survey before Wed., Oct. 29 and sign off on our school's roster with Kellie. The survey is anonymous and data from the survey will help determine the kinds of ProDev PSD should consider next. It will only take you 8-10 minutes, but the information will be powerful. Learning Targets Target Learning
It's no wonder that when we tell kids what they will learn, they will learn it! Keep posting the weekly learning targets and talking with students about their learning goals. This is one simple, but powerful way you improve learning and teaching at the same time.
Be A SmartBoard Smarty Pants!
Carrie and Aaron worked hard to update everyone's computer for the latest greatest SmartBoard upgrades. If you haven't had the software installed yet, it's not too late, but you'll need to be flexible and bring something sweet to butter up your tech support team. Please do your best to get your computer updated by the end of the week.
A-B-C-D ELO
Plans are under way! If you're interested in teaching an ELO, please pick up an application in Rebecca's box. This level of ELO is targeted for before and after school sessions. A Reminder from Our Assistant Superintendent
Below for your review are the links to the district policy and regulation addressing religious activities, celebrations and practices. It is also important to note that any activities related to Halloween should only occur outside the instructional day. Our PTA sponsored Harvest Festival was held last Friday, outside the school day. Halloween costumes for staff or students are not appropriate during the school day. Thanks for your attention to this sensitive issue.
