Admin ProDev - Wednesday & Thursday
Rebecca and Lisa will be out of the building all day on Wednesday and Thursday for Adaptive Schools training.  The training focuses on facilitating meetings and building capacity within a school.  Want to know more?  Come see us!  Admin sub tbd.

IF?  TPEP?  What?!?
Haven't heard of IF or TPEP, yet?  Oh! You will...it's a comin'!  And our district is already too late becoming familiar with these new acronyms:

• IF: Instructional Framework - specifically, Danielson's Instructional Framework is the model PSD adopted this past summer. You'll LOVE it!
   

TPEP:  Teacher Principal Evaluation Plan (Program? Both words have been used).

This week we'll look at Danielson's Instructional Framework - all teachers will receive a book and discussion will happen during the LIC PR time on Wednesday in grade level teams.  Watch for the agenda to arrive by email by Monday.

Several of you are part of this program.  Remember to see Colleen on Friday so you can get the paperwork completed.  Our school receives money when we document the kinds of support we offer kids and families.

Para Schedules
Holy smokes!  What a process!  Monday starts the semi-regular para support to classrooms with overloads.  Thanks for all your patience and flexibility.  Paras working in building overload hours should be directly working with students - our para educators are very skilled and willing to learn how to use teaching materials.  Please save your copy and die cut needs for a parent volunteer.

Wed LIC PR - Oct 3
Teams will gather to preview and become familiar with Danielson's Instructional Framework.  Time is allocated for a review of the first month of  Journeys.  Specialists should plan to meet together for their agenda items.  Draft agenda will be sent by Monday.

CSIP - Tuesday, Oct 2 from 3:25-4:00pm
We gotta meet! Decisions we made last June still hold, but the team really needs to gather before any other plans can be made.  We will be brief...on the agenda: hear an update from Title, review ELO plans, and clarify LIC agenda.

Wed LIC CT - Oct 17
Guest Visitor - Glenn Malone to share the juicy details about the ousting of AYP and the welcoming of AMO (another new acronym:  Annual Measurable Objectives).  Site teams will also meet.

In Building: Team ProDev – Release Time Options

Plans are in the works for each team to be released to work collaboratively between now and the end of October. Details to come, but consider how your team would like to work:

Option 1: hire half-day subs during the work day

Option 2: work on the State Inservice Day (Oct 12) for half day pay

Option 3: work after school or on the weekend for half day pay
