Instructional Framework 101: IF 101
Domain 3: Instruction - the heart of the framework
Component b: Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques
Element: Quality of questions
Application: What kinds of questions are you asking throughout your lessons? Do your questions require single word answers (ie: yes/no or ‘right’ responses)? In your classroom, who is doing most of the talking (ie: you? Star students? All your students?)
Danielson Quote: When teachers use questions skillfully, they engage their students in an exploration of content. (from Enhancing Professional Practice, p.79)

BE 212: Every Monday Matters
Which comes first? Opportunity or creativity? (kind of like the chicken or the egg!) You already know WE are in the business of opportunity AND creativity. The possibilities in every day to help a child learn are endless – and when you are struggling to find the door to a child’s head, build a door at the heart. Sometimes the best lesson hinges on one caring adult who shows constant and unconditional care – especially when it’s not deserved. That’s what we have here at Hunt – Creatively 212 Door Builders and Openers!
